ORTHODOX

They threw him out of heaven.
Susanoo — too violent, too loud, too much. The gods exiled him.

So he went down. Found a serpent with eight heads. Killed it.
And they built shrines to him.

The same rage that got him cast out got him canonized.
Orthodoxy is just heresy that won.

素戔嗚尊 — the exile they later called a god.

100% cotton. Oversized. All-over print.
Ukiyo-e: Susanoo slaying Yamata-no-Orochi.

THE MYTH

Every culture has a story about someone who was thrown out.

Susanoo was exiled from heaven for being too violent, too loud, too much. He went down, killed a serpent with eight heads, and they built him shrines. The exile became a god.

Medusa was punished for what was done to her. The gods made her the villain of her own story. No shrine. No forgiveness. She stayed a monster.

Same crime — being cast out. Different verdict.

Orthodoxy is just heresy that won.
